Location

Kandi is a small city between Parakou and the Benin/ Niger border. It is 200 km north of Parakou and a further 110 km to Malanville, where the border post is. The river Niger flows along the northern boundary of Malanville and forms the frontier between the two countries.

The national road is in very good condition. It passes through, among others, a small village called "Petit Paris".

From Kandi it is possible to take a dirt road to the west and drive towards Banikoara and the game parks of "Parc du W" and "Parc de la Pendjari".
