Location

Located on an idyllic island between Toubacouta and the coast, the property can only be reached by boat. The main appeal of this property is the total peace and quiet, you may find that you are the only visitors.

Accommodation

The hotel is very small and fairly basic with only 14 rooms which are simply furnished with cane furniture although they do have mosquito nets and the facility to upgrade to air-conditioning.

Amenities & Services

The island itself is a wonderful environment for birdwatchers and early morning ornithological walks are very popular. The Parc du Saloum also has several types of monkeys including the rare Red Colobus and the hotel operates many trips into the surrounding countryside. Also on offer are a number of activities including fishing, petanque, table football, boomerang, kite flying and archery. There is occasional evening entertainment in the form of local dancers.

Dining

A staircase from the pool and terraces leads to the bar and restaurant which is situated on top of a sandhill with views over the surrounding islands and mangroves. The restaurant generally offers typically Senegalese dishes. A unique waterfall flows alongside the stairs from the bar, down towards the pool terraces
