In the afternoon, visit the World Heritage Site of Goree Island including "The Door of No Return". Tour includes a lecture by the curator on the history of Goree. En route take a tour of Pink Lake, a rare natural phenomena caused by a unique combination of microorganism and high concentration of salts which gives the lake its pink color. Interact with the women harvesting salt, visit the Fulani Village where you will be welcomed by the Chief and his wives. Continue to Saint Louis. In the early evening, city tour of Saint Louis including a visit to the fishing village of Guet Ndar. After dinner enjoy Saint Louis by night. After lunch continue to Dakar for flight to Banjul. Arrive in Banjul late evening where you will be transported to Gambia Hotel for overnight. You will travel through the original routes where slave ships sailed. Visit historical places like James Island, Albreda Slave market and Juffure, ancestral village of the late author Alex Haley.
