DAY 2	(MAY 31) —GOREE ISLAND In the morning, explore Metropolitan Dakar. Bargain at the colorful markets including Tilen Market, famous for a variety of medicinal herbs and traditional healers. Visit the National Art Gallery and the picturesque residential district of Medina. In the afternoon, go back in time at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Goree Island which houses “The Door of No Return”. Visit the ethnographic museum and hear a lecture by the curator on the history of Goree Island. Later, return to Dakar.
